Student of the Month: Jason Boog
When you train at InFighting, you will have a chance to experience a great community where other students help you achieve your objectives.
Because we want to highlight this unique community, we thought of having a student of the month — where we highlight one of you in our blog and newsletter. It’s a great chance to learn more about each other.
Here’s a quick question and answer that we did with our student of the month – Jason Boog.
Q&A with Jason
1) Who are you and what do you do for a living?
My name is Jason Boog and I am the QA Manager at FCV Interactive in Vancouver.
2) What first attracted you to InFighting Training Centers?
I have always wanted to take martial arts when I was younger and with InFighting Vancouver being so close to my work, it makes it real easy for me to attend as many classes/sessions as possible (for the past ~3yrs).
Being new to the whole martial arts thing, I did not want to join just any gym where everyone is so advanced and I am just the new punching bag. That is not the case at InFighting.
The staff and members of the gym are always around to help you out and really make you feel as though you are family.
3) How has your life improved since you started training with us?
I am in the best shape of my life!
I was able to drop 70lbs and keep it off. I am able to play all sorts of sports again and I have also made some great friends in the process.
There are so many different skill levels in the gym but you never get bored of the workout. You will always get some good coaching about your technique, breathing, stance, etc… and you really come out of each class feeling so much better (both physically and mentally) with something new to try out next time.
So, the next time you see Jason in the gym, just say hi and let him know you read this!
